How long does it take to clear a green pool?

Most green pools clear in a few days. Very dark or neglected pools can take longer, depending on the algae, the filter and the water chemistry.

Do you have to drain a green pool?

Usually not. Most green pools can be brought back with treatment, brushing and filtering. Draining is only needed in rare cases, and in Florida it can damage a pool if done wrong.

How do I keep my pool from turning green again?

Keep the chlorine and pH balanced, run the pump long enough each day, and clean the filter regularly. Weekly service is the easiest way to make sure it stays clear.
